Meritus Homes now is taking reservations for brand-new, single-family homes at The Enclave At Mill Creek.

Meritus Homes now is taking reservations for brand-new, single-family homes at The Enclave At Mill Creek. The low-maintenance community is located at the intersection of Army Trail Road and Mill Street in Addison. A sales center is open across from the property at 601 Army Trail Boulevard, Suite C.
The newest community from Meritus Homes, The Enclave At Mills Creek features detached, maintenance-free ranches with 1,379 to 2,154 square feet of living space, two or three bedrooms, and two full baths. Five floor plans are available, with special preconstruction pricing starting from the mid $300,000s.
“Purchasing a home now at The Enclave Of Mill Creek has countless advantages,” said Jay Dulla, executive vice president of Meritus Homes.

“First, early buyers can choose from the widest selection of homesites, including some that overlook Westwood Creek or one of the neighborhood’s three ponds,” he explained. “In addition, prices typically are at their lowest during the first phase of construction and property values rise as the community builds out. That affords homeowners the opportunity to build equity quickly.”
He added that there is very little new construction within Addison, which makes The Enclave At Mill Creek a sought-after destination. Shopping, entertainment, movie theaters, golf, casual dining, and forest preserves are all nearby. Plus, Interstates 355 and 290 are only a few miles away, as is Ill. Hwy. 83/Kingery Highway, for easy access to Chicagoland’s western suburbs.

Tucked in a mature area surrounded by established neighborhoods, The Enclave At Mill Creek will have abundant green space with more than one third of the ranch-style homes backing to natural areas. The homeowners association will perform all yard maintenance and exteriors will be constructed of low maintenance materials for easy upkeep.
“The combination of single-level living and freedom from landscape maintenance, lawn care and shoveling is sure to make these homes attractive to local empty nesters who no longer need the space of their large, older house but want to stay in the area they know and enjoy,” he said.
While ranches continue to gain popularity among aging buyers—or anyone who prefers not having to climb stairs—several of the plans at The Enclave At Mill Creek also offer the option for a second story. This can add 866 to 1,090 more square feet of living space, one or two bedrooms or a loft, and another bath on the upper level. The two-story layouts, according to Dulla, are perfect for households with college children home for summer break or those who need to accommodate extended family or overnight guests.
All homes at The Enclave At Mill Creek will be built to the exacting standards that signify a Meritus home. Interiors will have nine-foot first-floor ceilings, six-panel doors, decorative touches such as rounded drywall corners and brushed nickel finishes, central air conditioning, and full basements.
Kitchens are designed around the chef with a full suite of stainless steel appliances including a range, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator; pantry, per plan; granite countertops; and elegant touches such as ceramic tile or oak flooring and cabinets with crown molding.
All baths have ceramic tile flooring and shower walls along with cultured marble vanity tops while master baths have the added luxury of separate showers; custom-finished, wood, raised vanities; large linen closets; and compartmentalized water closets.
Numerous options also are available as part of Meritus Homes’ “My Signature” customization program so new owners can personalize their homes. They include gourmet kitchen enhancements, gas fireplaces and upgraded flooring, among others.
Outside, classic architecture is designed to complement the area while offering all the benefits of new construction. Low maintenance exteriors feature vinyl siding with brick accents; stone accents are optional. Covered entries provide shelter from inclement weather. And front, side and rear yards are fully sodded plus a landscaping package is included with each new home to give it instant curb appeal.
Site and road work already is underway for Phase I at The Enclave At Mill Creek, which includes 44 homesites along with three ponds and a scenic sitting area. Meritus Homes will break ground soon on a model home.
In the meantime, sales are being conduced from the sales center across the street, located at 601 Army Trail Boulevard, Suite C. Sales hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
