New Sport Offered At Elmhurst University
Wrestling already has a rich tradition at the school, which now has 21 athletic offerings, the university said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst University plans to add women's wrestling in the fall, bringing the total athletic offerings to 21, the school announced Monday.
"The sport of wrestling has a rich tradition here at Elmhurst University, and we look to build a nationally competitive women's wrestling program," Glen Brittich, the university's athletic director, said in a news release.
The university is joining the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin as the league's fifth core member offering women's wrestling.

Women's wrestling is one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation, with the sport designated an NCAA emerging sport in the 2020-21 academic year, according to the news release.
