North Avenue Ramp Closes For Brush Removal

ELMHURST, IL — The entrance ramp from eastbound North Avenue to inbound I-290 in Elmhurst will be closed part of Saturday, Jan. 12 and part of Sunday, Jan. 13. The city said tree and brush removal on the ramp requires a full closure from 6 to 10 a.m. Saturday and 6 to 11 a.m. Sunday.

While the ramp is closed, motorists are advised to enter inbound I-290 at either Lake Street, York Street or St. Charles Road. The city said motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
