The driver exceeded 100 mph before spike strips stopped her, police said.

OAK BROOK, IL – Two theft suspects led police on a high-speed chase Tuesday after stealing more than $1,200 in merchandise from an Oak Brook store, prosecutors said.

Kaphree Jordan, 25, and Aaliyah Guy, 24, both of Milwaukee, were identified as the suspects.

Late in the afternoon, Oak Brook officers saw Guy run out of Nordstrom Rack with a backpack and enter the passenger side of a Kia, according to a news release from the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

The women headed south on Route 83, then east on Interstate 88 to eastbound Interstate 290.

The suspects ended up on northbound Interstate 294, where they were stopped when officers deployed spike strips, authorities said. Jordan exceeded speeds of 100 mph, according to the release.

They were found with a duffel bag containing 21 bottles of cologne and perfume valued at $1,273, prosecutors said.

"The allegations that after committing a burglary at the Nordstrom Rack, the defendants led authorities on a high-speed chase in excess of 100 mph, demonstrates their complete disregard for the rule of law," State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in the release. "This will not be tolerated in DuPage County and will be aggressively prosecuted."

Jordan and Guy were each charged with felony burglary and felony retail theft. Jordan was additionally charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, also a felony.

They were both still in the DuPage County Jail as of Wednesday afternoon.
