Oktoberfest at Pints Elmhurst Begins This Saturday!

The third annual Pints celebration of Germany's Oktoberfest runs from Saturday, September 20th through Saturday, October 4th

Pints Elmhurst is gearing up for Oktoberfest, and the two-week celebration begins this Saturday, September 20th!

The third-annual event begins Saturday with an Opening Day Keg Tapping by Elmhurst Mayor Steve Morley, who will parade from City Hall to Pints with members of Kickoff for Kids. With an authentic German food menu and ten German beers on tap, Pints will continue the party with 15 days of daily specials, promotions, and German fun! Oktoberfest at Pints concludes on Saturday, October 4th with the German band “Die Musikmeisters”, who play from 6-9 p.m.

Pints is working closely with Kickoff for Kids to raise money for the local non-profit organization. Proceeds from the sale of Goose Island Oktoberfest on opening day will go straight to KOK. In addition, customers will have the opportunity to win a Goose Island brewery tour by donating. Straight donations for Kickoff for Kids will also be accepted during business hours, and Pints will thank you by putting your name on the wall!

Daily specials during Oktoberfest include “Beer, Brat, and Boot Night” (Friday, September 26th and Friday, October 3rd), where customers can purchase a Warsteiner Oktobefest glass “boot” filled with beer, along with a delicious Bratwurst sandwich! The Wednesday special (September 24th and October 1st) is “Buy a Beer and Keep the Stein Night”. With 20 craft and Oktoberfest beers to choose from, it will be hard to decide which beer to fill your 22 oz. Pints glass stein!

Chef Chris Boletz has created a dynamite German food menu served daily throughout Oktoberfest and the month of October. Items include the German Sausage Sampler, German Schnitzel and an amazing homemade Apple Strudel dessert. And of course, Pints has brought back the legendary Giant Bavarian Pretzel!

If you’re looking for authentic Oktoberfest beers and American craft Marzen beers, Pints is sure to have something you’ll love. Selections include Oktoberfest styles from Spaten, Hacker Pschorr, Hofbrau, Revolution and Solemn Oath. If you’re not sure which one to choose, order a Flight! Pints offers a taster paddles of four beers, and they’re offering special $10 Flight Nights (Monday, September 22nd and Monday, September 29th).

Call Pints for more information on their Oktoberfest celebration! And if you want to join Mayor Morley this Saturday for the Opening Day parade, meet at the City Hall fountain at 11 a.m. Anyone is welcome to participate, and kids who walk in the parade will receive a free sundae with the purchase of one lunch at Pints!
