People Flee Elmhurst Cops At Local Park; 1 Caught
In another case, a group removes barricades for a downtown prohibited area, police said. They were charged.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
Disorderly conduct
- An 18-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of South Hillcrest Avenue was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday on charges of disorderly conduct and consumption or possession of alcohol by a minor. While on patrol, an officer saw several people flee from Eldridge Park in southwest Elmhurst. Police said the 18-year-old was caught a few blocks away in the 900 block of South Hillside Avenue. He was released.
Trespassing

- A half dozen people were charged about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the city's parking deck at 145 N. Addison Ave. with trespassing. The group consisted of five 19-year-olds and one 22-year-old from other places in the Chicago area. Police said the people were on the deck's top level, where the public is barred. The suspects moved barricades and violated no-trespassing signs.
Meth possession
- Police were called to Clarion Inn, 933 S. Riverside Drive, about a man not paying his bill about 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Police found the man with meth. Charges are pending the return of lab results.
