Police Intervene in 10-Year Neighbor Dispute and Teen's Obstruction Leads to Her Sister's Arrest
Warrant, alcohol and drug arrests also reported by Elmhurst police.

Neighbor Dispute
Two neighbors, address not given, told police they have had an ongoing dispute for 10 years. On March 20, the suspect started his lawn mower, set it outside the complainant's window, tied the throttle open, got in his vehicle and left. When police asked the suspect why he did that, he said he did not like his neighbors "because they are nuts." They were all advised to have no contact with each other and to report any future harassment to 911.
Warrant Arrests
Armando Gomez-Rodriguez, 34, 1848 N. Kedzie, Chicago, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge out of DuPage County after his white Chevrolet Silverado was reported as "suspicious" at Grand and Industrial at 12:26 p.m. March 13. He also was cited for driving with a suspended license.
Marquis Coleman, 32, 5600 Hillcrest, Lisle, was arrested and charged with obstructing identification after police pulled over the tan Buick Rendezvous he was riding in for tinted windows at Route 83 and Riverside Drive at 3:32 a.m. March 17. He was found to have a warrant out of DuPage County and was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Zachary Zane, 28, 4228 N. Whipple, Chicago, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County for a conditional release violation at York and First streets at 1:24 a.m. March 18. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Edward Wawrzyniak, 45, 526 N. West Ave., was arrested at his home on warrants out of DuPage County for failure to appear on disorderly conduct and possession of cannabis charges at 11:06 a.m. March 18. He was released on bond.
Gordon G. Hoppe, 23, 4970 Butterfield Road, Hillside, was arrested on a warrant out of Itasca after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 100 block of Fairlane at 1:15 a.m. March 19. He was picked up by an Itasca police officer.
Lauren Gher, 21, 15W411 Fillmore, Elmhurst, was arrested on a warrant out of Champaign County for a narcotics equipment possession charge at 7:55 a.m. March 19. Police saw her sister, Rachael J. Gher, 18, of the same address, and another person sitting on a bench near the entrance of Jewel, 944 S. York Road. Both told police they were homeless, and Rachel gave her name as Lauren Gher. After police discovered the warrant on Lauren, she came to the police station and posted bond. Rachel was charged with obstruction of identification and released on bond.

Dayanne Bowden, 22, 1639 Southampton Court, Wheaton, was charged with public urination at 126 S. York at 12:28 a.m. March 18. Bowden was released on I-bond.
Possession of Alcohol in Public
Larry Bebo, 52, 677 N. Michigan, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and possession of open alcohol in public after he was found to stumbling at Columbia and York Road at 1:16 a.m. March 22. He was released on I-bond.
Possession of Cannabis

Michael H. Mallo, 19, 506 N. Willow, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped him for riding a bike without a headlight at York and Grantley at 1:36 a.m. March 22. He was released on I-bond.
Suspicious Circumstances
A resident of the 700 block of Eastland told police someone hacked into her email account and sent all her contacts an email stating she was in another country and needed money immediately. AT&T closed her account. The report was filed at 1:27 p.m. March 15.
White Powder Found in Jail Cell
Elmhurst police found a red plastic zip-lock baggie containing a white powder residue in one of the holding cells at the police station, 125 E. First St., at 6:30 p.m. March 15.
