Predict the Oscars Winner is Elmhurst College Student

He got them all correct without even seeing one of the movies that won.

Elmhurst resident Nick Schiltz, a student at Elmhurst College, is the winner of the Predict the Oscars contest sponsored by Classic Cinemas. He will receive a movie pass for one for a year and a pair of passes to Brookfield Zoo.

An avid moviegoer, Schiltz said, “I love going to the movies! I go to the every other weekend. I am very excited to win, especially since 'The Avengers' comes out this year.”

This year, 6,875 ballots were cast predicting the Oscar winners in seven categories:  Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Animated Film. Schiltz was not able to see “The Artist” before the contest, but he was still confident in most of his predictions.

“I knew which actors were in what movies and how good they were based off of reviews I read,” he said.

Each Classic Cinemas theatre selected one first-place winner from the correct ballots entered at that location. The remaining correct ballots entered at the York Theatre will receive a pair of movie passes to any Classic Cinemas location and a pair of tickets to the Brookfield Zoo.
