Pregnant Woman Attacked In Elmhurst: Cops

ELMHURST, IL – An Elgin man beat up a pregnant woman Friday night in Elmhurst, police said.

Daniel Almanza, 41, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. on two counts of aggravated domestic battery.

During an argument, Almanza struck the woman's abdomen and put her in a headlock, police said.

Police said they stopped Almanza in a car near CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave.

Almanza was taken to the DuPage County Jail, where he remained Monday afternoon.
