Project To Have Impact On Elmhurst Drivers

ELMHURST, IL — The Illinois Tollway expansion project is going to have a big effect on many Elmhurst residents starting Thursday.

On Monday, the city got word that the project along interstates 294 and 290 will close a "significant" ramp for a month, City Administrator Jim Grabowski said this week.

"This is the ramp that would take vehicles from south 294 to north or westbound 290," he said. "A lot of people from Elmhurst use that to get to North Avenue."
