Ransomware Closes Elmhurst Business For 2 Days: Cops
Some data was stolen when the company was hacked, police said.
ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst business shut down for two days last week because it fell victim to ransomware, Elmhurst police said.
DM Merchandising, 835 N. Church St., reported the incident to police Friday.
The company told police some data was stolen when it was hacked. It said it would contact the FBI as well.
