Record Crowd Expected at 19th Annual Elmhurst St. Patrick's Day Parade
The parade begins at noon March 7 at the intersection of Wilson Street and Spring roads.

Marching bands, costumed characters and more than 80 floats will gather in Elmhurst in every shade of green for the 19th Annual Elmhurst St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The parade begins at noon March 7 at the intersection of Wilson Street and Spring roads and continues north on Spring Road in Elmhurst, but music and entertainment begin at 11 a.m. at Ahlgrim Funeral Home.
A record crowd is expected to pack the city, according to the parade website, though plenty of parking and security should keep things comfortable. The 2015 Grand Marshal is Bruce Rauner.

Businesses, local organizations and clubs have gotten involved, and Irish dancers, the Shannon Rovers and local team mascots will heighten the celebration, as well as the Chicago Highlanders, the Elmhurst Armpit Orchestra and the York High School Marching Band.
