Rep.Mazzochi Hosting Critical Blood Drive and COVID Testing Event

State Rep. Mazzochi seeks blood donors for February drive, free covid testing also available

In response to the national blood shortage, State Representative Deanne Mazzochi (R-Elmhurst) is once again sponsoring a drive for community members looking to help save lives.

Rep. Mazzochi is once again bringing Versiti to the district to gather much needed blood donations. Free COVID and COVID Antibody testing will also be available thanks to Rep. Mazzochi’s partnership with IndiviDx. The event will take place Thursday, February 10th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Westmont Centre in Westmont.

“There’s both a dire need for blood donations and a need for fast, accurate COVID testing,” Rep. Mazzochi explained. “I’m bringing back both Versiti and IndiviDx to the district because these services are important for our community.”

Walk-ins are welcome, but as a COVID-19 precaution and to save time, making an appointment for blood donation is strongly preferred. Interested blood donors can make an appointment to donate by clicking here or by contacting Rep. Mazzochi’s office at (630) 852-8633.

Rep. Mazzochi stressed, “While I want as many people as possible to help us address this current crisis by donating blood, you do NOT need to donate blood in order to get this free COVID testing service.”
