Man Shows Hoosier Pride as He Robs Wood Dale Bank in an Indiana University Hoodie

Police searched the area around the Wood Dale Bank and Trust on Thursday afternoon but couldn't find the suspect.

WOOD DALE, IL―A man in a red Indiana University hoodie robbed the Wood Dale Bank and Trust on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Wood Dale responded to a call about the robbery about 1:20 p.m., and set up a perimeter around the bank, 171 E. Irving Park Road, a police press release stated. But a search of the area came up empty for the suspect, who was caught on video with the the hood up on his sweatshirt and wearing a black-and-white scarf covering his mouth and nose.

The FBI is currently investigating the crime. The release did not indicate how much money was stolen.

Information about the robbery on the Bandit Tracker Chicago website describes the man as:

  • white, early to mid-30s
  • between 5-feet-11 and 6-feet tall
  • medium build
  • brown eyes
