Community Service Officer:
Under supervision, performs duties in a non-sworn capacity in support of Elmhurst Police Department operations both within the station and in the field. Assists the community by resolving non-criminal calls for police service in support of the Department. Performs non-emergency police and records related functions. Community Service Officers are generally the first point of contact with the police department, providing information and assisting the public. Community Service Officers may also perform crossing guard, traffic direction, matron, and animal control duties. Performs duties on an assigned shift, including holidays and weekends.
Minimum starting wage: $21.75/hour.
Temporary Seasonal Laborer:
Performs manual labor related to equipment operation and maintenance activities. Division tasks include the construction, repair, and maintenance of municipal streets, sidewalks, buildings, electrical systems, storm drainage facilities, landscaping and trees. Promotes and maintains responsive community relations. This is a temporary seasonal position for the summer of 2015. This position will end no later than September 4, 2015. Work hours: Monday thru Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Wage: $9.00/hour

Communications Manager:
Under direction, performs professional level work in the field of community relations; provides assistance to the administration department by establishing external communications in response to City needs. Develops and leads a City strategic communications and public relations plan. Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing, tourism, and branding strategies for the City. Initiative is taken to recognize opportunities for innovative approaches to public relations activities, creating a continuing atmosphere to attract organizations and visitors to the City of Elmhurst as well as keeping residents informed.
Wage: $80,000 +/- (DOQ)
Library Page, Adult Services Dept. (Library part-time position):
Are you highly organized and great with computers? This essential member of the Adult Services Department assists with a variety of projects and detail-oriented assignments. Responsibilities also include data entry, shelving, filing, photocopying, and light clerical work. HOURS: 13 hours/week (flexible weekday schedule, regular Saturday afternoon or Sunday hours). This is not a seasonal position.
Wage: $9.57per hour

School Crossing Guard:
This part-time position involves public contact with school children, ensuring their safety while walking to and from school. Regular Crossing Guards work in the morning and afternoon. Relief Crossing Guards work on an on-call basis to fill in as needed for Regular Crossing Guards. Training and safety equipment provided by the City of Elmhurst. Crossing Guards locations are in the District #205 school system. Specific job locations may be assigned and changed as needed. Works under the general supervision of the Administrative Sergeant.
Wage: Starting at $11.81/per hour
