See Which Elmhurst Areas Backed In-Person Lessons Most

Backing for in-person learning strong throughout district, but disparities found.

ELMHURST, IL — Support for in-person learning was strong throughout Elmhurst School District 205, with 85 percent of families in favor, according to an August district survey. But the support varies between schools.

Support for in-person learning was the lowest at Fischer Elementary School — 67 percent. Fischer has another distinction among Elmhurst's schools: It has the highest percentage of students who come from low-income families, at 63 percent, according to the Illinois Report Card website.

At 37 percent, Churchville Elementary had the second highest percentage of low-income students. The survey shows support for in-person learning was the second lowest — 78 percent. This percentage was shared with Jackson Elementary (9 percent low-income).
