Senator Nybo recommends Glenbard District 87's program for AT&T Award

GLEN ELLYN – State Sen. Chris Nybo (R-Elmhurst) was on hand Oct. 27 as AT&T Illinois officials presented Glenbard Township High School District 87’s Partnership for Educational Progress (PEP) program with an Investing in Illinois Award.
Accepting the award were District 87 Superintendent Dr. Dave Larson and PEP Chairperson Dee Manire.
“It was my honor to recommend the Partnership for Educational Progress program for the grant, which will be used for District 87’s ‘One Book, One Glenbard’ program,” Nybo said. “‘One Book, One Glenbard’ is an annual project that benefits the students, as well as the staff and community members.”

The “One Book, One Glenbard” project selects a book and makes it available in all of the district’s libraries. After reading the book, students are encouraged to pass it on to other Glenbard students so as many students as possible may share a good read.
Glenbard Township High School District 87 is the third largest high school district in Illinois, and includes Glenbard East, Glenbard North, Glenbard South, and Glenbard West high schools, which serve the communities of Glen Ellyn, Lombard, and portions of Downers Grove and Wheaton.
