Several Gunshots Heard In Elmhurst: Police

ELMHURST, IL – A person heard several gunshots shortly before 3 a.m. Friday from the roadway near Route 83 and North Avenue, Elmhurst police said.

Officers found a bullet hole in a nearby building, police said. There were no reports of injuries.

Route 83 was temporarily closed in both directions during the investigation, police said.

Elmhurst detectives and evidence technicians are investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to call the police station at 630-530-3050.
