Shoe Thief Arrested from Hospital for Car Burglary: Cops

Elmhurst police arrested a Hillside man July 23 who they believe broke the passenger side rear window of a car in the 100 block of East Brush Hill and stole a pair of shoes.

Dino Hernandez, age 42 of the 400 block of North Melrose, Hillside, was found in the hospital and arrested, according to Elmhurst police.

He was taken to the police station, processed and charged with burglary to motor vehicle and possession of burglary tools. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
