See Video: Shooting Star In Elmhurst
An officer quickly takes video of the unexpected phenomenon.
ELMHURST, IL — You were probably sleeping at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. But an Elmhurst police officer on patrol in the 400 block of North York Street viewed "a beautiful shooting star," the police department announced on Facebook.
The shooting star was visible looking toward the western sky, police said.
"Thinking quickly, our officer activated their in-car camera system to record what just occurred, allowing us to be able to share the experience with you," the police said on Facebook.
