Sleeping Man At Elmhurst Restaurant Arrested: Cops

The man was charged with drug possession, among other offenses, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst released its latest arrest log Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Drug possession

  • Jason R. Haines, 36, of Fox Lake, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of South Route 83 on DuPage County and state Department of Corrections warrants and charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing identification. Police responded to a call about an unconscious person, later identified as Haines. He was found sleeping in a booth at Chipotle Grill, 353 S. Route 83. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Paris D. Durr, 31; Rob D. Howard, 31; and David Bynm, 36, all of Chicago, were cited about 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive, on charges of retail theft. Police said the three men drove away in a Dodge Durango, but were later found. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrant

  • Aldo Vargas Fernandez, 23, of Melrose Park, was arrested about 11 a.m. Wednesday on a DuPage County warrant. He turned himself in at the police station. He was released on bond.
