Suspect Hits School Bus In Elmhurst: Cops
Several were injured in another crash as a result of the suspect, police said. No children were on the bus.

ELMHURST, IL – A suspect being chased by police sideswiped a school bus Friday afternoon on St. Charles Road in Elmhurst, authorities said. Only the driver was on the bus.
Shortly before 3 p.m. officers from Oak Brook and Villa Park were pursuing a beige GMC Arcadia SUV north on Route 83 when the driver turned east on St. Charles. The suspect struck the bus at St. Charles and Berkley Avenue, then sideswiped a car at St. Charles and Spring Road, Elmhurst police said in a news release.
The suspect then hit another car traveling east on St. Charles near Argyle Avenue, according to the news release. Both cars came to a rest on the parkway. A man and a woman were then arrested.

Because the incident was near York High School, the school was briefly placed on lockdown, police said.
Elmhurst firefighters responded to several occupants of cars who suffered minor injuries from the final crash at St. Charles and Argyle.

The pursuit originated in Oak Brook, police said.
