Suspicious Man Tells Elementary School Student, 'You're So Cute,' Elmhurst Authorities Say

The suspicious person is described as a white man in his early 20s with curly brown hair. He was driving a dark gray, newer-model SUV.

Elmhurst police are investigating a suspicious person who approached a student around 3:40 p.m. March 17 in the area of Fremont and Highland avenues.

The student was walking home from Emerson Elementary School when a man pulled up and said “You’re so cute,” according to a city news release.

The suspicious man is described as white, in his early 20s with curly brown hair. He was driving a dark gray, newer-model SUV.

The man had his arm outside the car window, and he was holding a cell phone, possibly to take photos, the release stated. He didn’t get out of his car, and the student made it home safely.

Elmhurst police have contacted school officials, and anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call Elmhurst detectives at (630) 530-3057.
