Sword-Wielding Elmhurst Woman Arrested: Cops

The woman was charged with aggravated battery, among other offenses, and taken to jail.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police officers were called this week to a house in a local neighborhood for a report of a sword-wielding woman in a domestic disturbance, authorities said.

Collette Bajic, 54, who lives in the 100 block of South Oakland Grove in Elmhurst, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at her house on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor domestic battery (two counts) and resisting a police officer, police said.

She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. As of Thursday, she was no longer there, according to jail records.

Police said the man reported that the woman cut his hand with the sword.
