Teen Girls Stranded In Strong-Arm Robbery: Elmhurst Police

Two teens were reported to have voluntarily gotten inside a car with three men before robbery incident.

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that was reported just after 7 p.m., July 27 at Fremont and Ridgeland Avenues in Elmhurst. Suburban Life Media reported that according to Elmhurst Deputy Police Chief Mike McLean, two 17-year-old females from Chicago voluntarily got into a car with three men, one of whom is the cousin of one of the girl's friends. According to Chief McLean, the group was reported to have gotten lost during the drive, before exiting the expressway in Elmhurst and ending up on side streets, Suburban Life Media reported.

Police reported one of the men pulled the two females out of the car at Fremont and Ridgeland, but kept a purse and left the girls stranded at the intersection.

According to Suburban Life Media, Chief McLean said Illinois State Police found the purse in the road at Route 83 and Interstate 55.
