Ten smiling, laughing Child’s Voice graduates celebrated their listening, speaking, and academic progress with families and school staff during a recognition ceremony in May.

After performing songs, including “You Are My Sunshine” and “Here Comes the Sun,” each graduate shared a speech about their time at Child’s Voice. Students and families were excited for the graduates’ transition back to their local, neighborhood schools.

Child’s Voice helps children with hearing loss learn to listen and speak. The School Program, located at the Child’s Voice Wood Dale site, offers a busy, full-day program for children ages 3-8 years old. Students wear hearing aids and/or cochlear implants and programs use a child-focused, research-based curriculum, all with the end goal of transitioning graduates back to their neighborhood schools.

“With the help of committed parents and extraordinary teachers and staff, our graduates enter their local school alongside their siblings and neighbors ready to succeed,” said Child’s Voice Executive Director Dr. Michele Wilkins. “We know there are exciting things ahead for all our graduates!”

Our grateful graduates, parents, and staff say thank you to Wood Dale Junior High School, Elan Photography, Absolute Vision Media Productions, Coakley Sound, and Second Helpings Catering and Baking for helping to make the graduation ceremony memorable.
