UCCA's Food for Life: Dining for a Cause Raises Funds for Local Families

UCCA would like to thank everyone who participated in and donated to this year’s Taste of the Town: Dining for a Cause held May 14, at Wilder Mansion. Guests enjoyed delicious food and beverage tastings from 18 area businesses and raised more than $30,000 for UCCA. Money raised will be used toward the purchase of food and food gift cards for Elmhurst Community School District 205 children and their families who are experiencing difficult times.

UCCA has been providing food to local residents for 47 years. This past year UCCA provided food and paper products to 383 families at our Holiday Food Drive and provided them with food gift cards to be used towards the purchase of fresh meat and produce. These families also received food gift cards three times during the year. UCCA also offered families an opportunity to shop at Mobile Food Pantries nine times and provided food gift cards to senior citizens residing at Greencastle of Elmhurst three times throughout the year.
