'Swatting' Incident Prompts Police Response At Elmhurst Library
Police said they have asked the library to remain closed for the rest of the day to continue investigating.

ELMHURST, IL — Police received a call on Saturday morning, where a threat was made to the Elmhurst Public Library. The incident, known as “swatting,” prompted an emergency response and the library was evacuated, police said.
According to police reports, someone called the front desk at the library and said he was at the library and had an AR-15 and bombs.
According to police, the library was searched and they determined the building safe. Due to the complexity of the investigation, police have asked the library to remain closed for the rest of the day.
