Tools Stolen From Elmhurst Fire Station: Cops

Police say they are continuing their investigation into theft.

ELMHURST, IL — Tools were stolen from a fire truck parked outside the Elmhurst Fire Department's Station No. 1 late Wednesday morning.

According to a police report, a witness saw a man enter the side compartment of the fire truck and remove a black bag and large saw.

The suspect then placed the items in the back seat of a black Honda and left the area. It happened about 10:30 a.m. at 440 N. York St. The theft was immediately reported.
