Traffic Jam Reported at IL-83, St. Charles Road in Elmhurst

Traffic has slowed at IL-83 and St. Charles Road in Elmhurst.

An accident was reported around 3:14 p.m. where the roads meet, according to a tweet from @WGNtraffic.

As of 4:25 p.m., both waze and Google Maps traffic trackers show moderate to severe traffic jams in the area.

Google Maps shows orange and red patches indicating heavy traffic on southbound Kingery Highway between North Avenue and St. Charles Road.

Waze users have reported a heavy traffic jam on southbound Kingery Highway near Plunkett Park, and another heavy traffic jam on northbound Kingery Highway, adjacent to Ben Allison Park.
