Train Hits Car In Downtown Elmhurst: Police

The car was stalled on the railroad tracks when a Metra train approached, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – A Metra train collided with a car early Friday evening at the Haven Road crossing for the Union Pacific Railroad, Elmhurst police said.

About 5:45 p.m., first responders showed up and found no one was injured, police said.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicated the car was stalled on the tracks when the Metra train approached, according to a news release.
