TV Series Filming In Elmhurst: City

The series is based on a 2002 novel about a conspiracy theorist's death.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst announced Thursday morning that a TV series is filming in downtown.

A city spokeswoman told Patch that the production is "Emperor of Ocean Park."

Starring Forest Whitaker, the series has not been released yet. It is based on the 2002 novel by Stephen L. Carter.

According to IMDB, the series follows Talcott Garland, whose peaceful life is disrupted by his father's death. His father was a conspiracy theorist and a former journalist.

The filming is taking place until 9:30 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday at the It's Good To Be King game store at 129 W. First St., which is near the train station.
