Underage Drinking At Elmhurst Bar Reported

In other cases, a man trespassed at a restaurant and prowled at an apartment building, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving underage drinking at a bar, trespassing at a restaurant, a dog bite, a work argument, doorbell harassment, falls and DUIs. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Underage drinking at a bar

  • A pair of 19-year-old women – one from Woodridge and the other from Yorkville – were cited about 11:30 p.m. Thursday at Fitz's Pub, 172 N. Addison Ave., on charges of possession or consumption of alcohol by minors. The Yorkville woman was also accused of using a false ID. Both women are Elmhurst University students, according to online records. Police were checking the bar when they came across the women.

  • A 59-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about 9 p.m. Sunday at Kimmer's Ice Cream, 110 W. Park Ave., on a charge of trespassing to a building. At 2 a.m. Friday, the man was cited on a prowling charge after trying to enter the Vyne on Haven apartment building at First Street and Haven Road.

Dog bite

  • A person was bitten on the right hand by a dog about 4 p.m. Thursday at Top Dog Retreat, 180 W. Lake St. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

  • Two men got into an argument at work about 11:30 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. Police said the victim reported being bumped by the suspect and told him to hit him. The suspect denied touching the other man. No charges were filed.

Doorbell harassment

  • Youths were ringing a doorbell and then running away about 6 p.m. Saturday at a house in the 100 block of North Caroline Avenue.

Falls

  • A person fell about 1 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
  • A person fell about 5 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of South Spring Road. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

Alone and drunk

  • A person in the 400 block of North Oak Street was reported about 5:30 p.m. Friday to be drunk at home alone. The person said he was fine and did not need help from the police.

DUI

  • A 42-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Road and Fair Street on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of a gun in a vehicle and improper lane usage. He was also wanted on a warrant. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 58-year-old Riverdale man was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at North and Melrose avenues on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and driving while using a phone. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 31-year-old Addison man was arrested about 1 a.m. Sunday at Grand Avenue and York Street on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. He was taken to the police station and then released.

Warrant

  • A 41-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 900 block of North York Street was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at York Street and Diversey Avenue on a Kane County warrant. She was released.
