Wagner Family of Wine Dinner At Devon Seafood + Steak in Oakbrook Terrace
Enjoy Five Exquisite Courses, Each Perfectly Paired With a Glass of Wagner Family of Wine Regional Blend

Devon Seafood + Steak (17W400 22nd Street) is hosting an exclusive five-course meal showcasing fine pairings from Wagner Family of Wines on Thursday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m.
To begin, delight in Marinated Hamachi Radish Salad with toasted sesame and Serrano peppers. The first course is paired with a glass of Caymus Conundrum White 2013, with aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, vanilla, and lime zest which enhance a deeply flavored palate of tropical fruit, peach, pear and honeydew melon.
The second course is comprised of Chorizo Stuffed Squid with avocado and corn coulis accompanied by the Wagner Family of Wines Mer Soleil Silver Chardonnay 2013. The Mer Soleil Vineyard is named for the two natural forces that create its growing conditions: sea (mer) and sun (soleil). The climate of this coastal appellation produces the high-quality fruit used to make this bright, elegant Chardonnay.

For the third course guests will enjoy a Horseradish Crusted Halibut with mushrooms, leeks and celery root puree paired with the flavorful Meiomi Pinot Noir 2014, a brilliant, rich garnet color that opens with lifted fruit aromas of ripe strawberry, plum and sweet Bing cherry, along with light cedar and spicy vanilla notes, and boysenberry, plum, cherry cola and toasty mocha flavors.

Next, savor the Mesquite Grilled Hangar Steak with butternut squash, broccolini, veal glace and red wine butter, with a glass of Caymus Cabernet 2012, the only wine in the world twice honored as “Wine of the Year” by Wine Spectator Magazine.
End your meal on a sweet note with Poached Figs with caramel and honey mascarpone complimented by a glass of Caymus Conundrum Red 2012, a non-traditional blend of California red grapes. This wine is truly a Conundrum in style, which is unlike any other red blended wine.
