ELMHURST, IL — A new gym with a cool twist is coming to Elmhurst. Windy City Ninjas announced it will open a new Windy City Ninjas gym in Elmhurst this summer. According to a release, this new facility will feature a variety of obstacles to challenge "ninjas" of every age (from age two up to adults). The gym will be located at 684 W. Lake St. in Elmhurst.
"We are incredibly excited to be joining the Elmhurst community and opening our doors to neighbors here and in the surrounding area,” owner Tom Rhomberg said in a release. “When we were looking to grow, the near western suburbs was an easy decision for us. We have many friends nearby, visit regularly, and appreciate the close-knit foundation of the area. We look forward to meeting many new families and building new relationships with schools, camps and other local organizations.”
According to a release, the gym will offer weekly classes specifically tailored to the following age groups: Lil Warriors Parent/Tot (ages 2 – 3), Lil Warriors (ages 4 – 5), Emerging Warriors (ages 5 – 8), Ascending Warriors (ages 9 – 13) and Advanced Teens (ages 13 – 15). All classes are designed to improve strength, agility, body awareness and self-confidence. In addition to classes, Windy City Ninjas also offers open gym time, family fun nights, birthday parties, camps, competitions, school/team/corporate events and more.

Owners Tom and Emily Rhomberg are the parents of three children and they have seen the benefits of this activity first hand. After the success of their Windy City Ninjas location in Chicago, they are proud to be opening their second ninja warrior facility in Elmhurst that caters to all ages.
“Our philosophy for our kids - and adults - is overcome, persevere and achieve,” Rhomberg shared in a release. “We want to work with this community to help their children be active, self-confident, and realize their full potential while working hard and having fun. Ninja warrior obstacles as a medium are a terrific fitness option for kids to improve their well-being physically, mentally and emotionally.”
