Woman Arrested for Prostitution, Heroin Possession in Elmhurst

Elmhurst police arrested a woman for prostitution and drug possession June 12 after investigating a post on Backpage.com.

Amanda R Personette, age 37 of the 11600 block of Dorothea, Rockford, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles and prostitution, according to Elmhurst police.

A police officer arranged to meet with Personette for sexual activity after seeing a post on Backpage — a classified advertising site that hosts listings ranging from real estate to adults services.

Personette was arrested and found in possession of heroin, police reported. Police also found an active no bond warrant out of Rockford Police Department for the manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.

She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
