Woman Bites Elmhurst Officer During Struggle: Police

Suspect was determined to be under the influence of drugs, report says.

ELMHURST, IL — A Lombard woman has been identified as the suspect who is accused of biting an Elmhurst police officer, according to a police report. Samantha Wilson, 32, of Lombard, has been charged with aggravated battery, DUI (drugs), marijuana possession and improper lane usage.

According to the report, police found Wilson slumped over her wheel about 11 a.m. July 7 near Route 83 and St. Charles Road. Officers said they determined that she was under the influence of drugs. During the investigation, a struggle ensued, which is when Wilson bit an officer's left forearm, the report said.

She was charged July 13 and taken to the DuPage County Jail.
