Woman Charged In Oakbrook Terrace Killing
The woman was accused of gunning down the man outside an office building, police said.

OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL – A woman has been charged with the shooting death of a man last week in Oakbrook Terrace, prosecutors said Monday.
On Thursday, authorities apprehended Akrystal Woods, 19, of Milwaukee, charging her with first-degree murder, according to the DuPage County state's attorney's office.
Woods is accused of killing Obaidulla F. Shareef about 6 p.m. Wednesday at 2 Trans Am Plaza, an office building, police said. She is awaiting extradition to DuPage County.

“Fleeing to another state does not take a defendant out of the reach of law enforcement,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release.
According to Oakbrook Terrace police, officers were alerted to a crash involving an occupant suffering from gunshot wounds. The occupant, later identified as Shareef, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said it was an isolated incident with no danger to the community.
Authorities have not given Shareef's age or hometown.
