Women Arrested In Elmhurst Store Fight: Cops

In another case, a woman threatened someone else in downtown Elmhurst, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of disorderly conduct, alcohol in public, aggravated fleeing from an officer, obstructing an officer, DUI and drug possession. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:

Disorderly conduct

  • A 32-year-old woman from the 500 block of West Crockett Avenue in Elmhurst and a 46-year-old Villa Park woman were charged about 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of disorderly conduct. The women were fighting. They were released. Patch has filed a records request for the full report.
  • A 56-year-old Lyons woman was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police said she yelled at a woman and threatened to fight her. She was released.

  • A 61-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 7 p.m. Sunday at Ni Hao Asian Cafe, 116 W. Park Ave., on a DuPage County warrant and on a charge of possession of open alcohol in public. He was found sleeping in the restaurant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Aggravated fleeing

  • Ronnie L. Sanders, 28, of Chicago, was arrested about 10 p.m. Saturday at Butterfield Road and Kirk Avenue on charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding, speeding and improper window tinting. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 23-year-old Northlake man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Sunday at County Line Road and Grand Avenue on charges of obstructing an officer and walking improperly on a roadway. Officers responded to a report of a man walking in the roadway. When they arrived, the man walked away from them and refused to identify himself.

DUIs

  • A 41-year-old man who lives in the 100 block of Joanne Way in Elmhurst was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at York and Arthur streets on a charge of DUI. He was released on bond.
  • A 31-year-old man from the 700 block of South Fairfield Avenue in Elmhurst was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of South Spring Road on charges of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving with expired plates. He was released.
  • A 22-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Thursday at Park Street and Cottage Hills Avenue on charges of DUI (alcohol and drugs), disobeying a stop sign and improper lane usage. He was released.
  • A 26-year-old Woodridge man was arrested about 2 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of East Lake Street on charges of DUI, driving without insurance, improper lane usage and improper turn signal. He was released.
  • A 41-year-old Harvey man was arrested about 3 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of Butterfield Road on charges of DUI, marijuana possession by a driver and illegal transportation of open alcohol. He was released.
  • A 42-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Friday at North Avenue and York Street on charges of DUI, marijuana possession by a driver, improper turn at an intersection and failure to signal. He was released.

Drug possession

  • Aramiis Walker, 27, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Friday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
