Instead of wishing for presents for her 13th birthday, Samantha Neely of Elmhurst asked her friends and family to donate food for charity, according to mysuburbanlife.com.
When Samantha held her party Nov. 28 at the York Civic Center, she came away with 218 pounds of food donations for the Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry.
