York Street Lot Now Complies With Code: Official
A building on the parcel was torn down more than eight years ago.

ELMHURST, IL – The gravel lot at the northeast corner of North York Street and Crestview Avenue is no longer that, an official said Thursday.
In a social media post, Ward 3 Alderman Michael Bram announced that the lot is now in compliance with city code.
"After over 1½ years of following up on getting the gravel lot in compliance, it is now an empty lot with topsoil and grass seed," Bram said. "There are to be parking bumpers placed this week to prevent anyone from using this lot or leaving abandoned cars."

In response to a resident's question, Bram said the property is under contract, but the buyer and the plans for the lot have not been divulged. He said officials told him there was a non-disclosure agreement.
More than a year ago, Bram took to social media to point out three out-of-compliance gravel lots in his northeast ward. He said city regulations barred them from being gravel.
