York Singles standout Brendan Peterson went 2-1 on the weekend and is now the All-Time Wins leader in the Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis Programs at York High School with 122 wins in his career. The previous record was held by David Genovese (1999) and Jennifer Williams (2006) with 120.

“I am very proud of Brendan,” Heimann said. “I very much appreciate his dedication to the tennis program at York. He has shown great work ethic over the last 4 years and has been a great captain and leader for our team. He only started playing tennis at the end of 8th grade. It is absolutely remarkable for Brendan to accomplish this feat, having started playing when he did. That is a credit to him and his family for how hard he has worked.”

Peterson was recently named “Senior Athlete of the Year” for 2014-2015 at the York Athletic and Academic Awards Night on May 4.
