The total budget for Evanston in 2016 is $294,710,257. The following is a list of the ten highest earners in the city, with their position and earning amount listed.

2. Richard Eddington, Evanston Police Chief - $182,368
3. Martin Lyons, Asst. City Manager/CFO - $179,554
4. William Farrar, Evanston City Attorney - $169,315
5. Evonda Thomas-Smith, Evanston Health Director - $156,235
6. Gregory Klaiber, Evanston Fire Chief - $153,061
7. David Stoneback, Director of Public Works Agency - $149,616
