102-Year-Old Cantor David Brandhandler Dies

A service will take place Sunday for the well-respected Evanston resident who died just shy of his 103rd birthday.

Cantor David Brandhandler, a longtime cantor at the former Ner Tamid Congregation in Chicago and the Niles Township Jewish Congregation in Skokie, has died just weeks before his 103rd birthday.

The Cantor was the youngest of 9 children.
