2 Men Shot In South Evanston
Evanston police are investigating a non-fatal shooting Friday afternoon near St. Francis Hospital.

EVANSTON, IL — Evanston police are investigating the shooting of a pair of Chicago men Friday. Shortly after 1 p.m., multiple people called 911 to report about six gunshots in the 300 block of Custer Avenue. Police learned two men with gunshot wounds had just arrived at St. Francis Hospital a few blocks west of the reported shooting.
Investigators found shell casings and learned that the two men at the emergency room, aged 20 and 21, had been sitting in a black Dodge when they were shot. Police said their wounds were apparently non-life threatening.
There are no suspects in custody. The survivors were not providing information to police, and detectives continue to investigate the incident, police said.
