EVANSTON, IL — Evanston police are investigating the shooting of a pair of Chicago men Friday. Shortly after 1 p.m., multiple people called 911 to report about six gunshots in the 300 block of Custer Avenue. Police learned two men with gunshot wounds had just arrived at St. Francis Hospital a few blocks west of the reported shooting. Investigators found shell casings and learned that the two men at the emergency room, aged 20 and 21, had been sitting in a black Dodge when they were shot. Police said their wounds were apparently non-life threatening. There are no suspects in custody. The survivors were not providing information to police, and detectives continue to investigate the incident, police said. Anyone with information about what happened was asked to contact the Evanston Police Department at 847-866-5040 or by texting CRIMES (274637) and entering EPDTIP and the tip in the message. EVANSTON, IL — Evanston police are investigating the shooting of a pair of Chicago men Friday. Shortly after 1 p.m., multiple people called 911 to report about six gunshots in the 300 block of Custer Avenue.
