2017 Illinois High School Field Hockey All-Stars Announced

NORTHBROOK, IL — Illinois Field Hockey and Windy City Field Hockey announced Wednesday the selection of the state's top girls high school field hockey players to its Illinois All-Star field hockey rosters, with North Shore schools strongly represented.

This year's rosters, including 40 total All-Stars, reflect the sport's growing popularity in the state of Illinois. 21 high schools are represented, including first-time high schools Evanston and Homewood Flossmoor.

Defending state champions Lake Forest High School, as well as North Shore Country Day School, New Trier High School and Glenbard West High School, had four student-athletes named to the All-Star rosters.

Following the Oct. 26 state semi-final and Oct. 28 final at Glenbrook South High School, the second annual Windy City Field Hockey High School All-Star Classic will take place on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. on Northwestern University's Lakeside Astroturf Field in Evanston following the Northwestern women's soccer team's game in the first round of the Big Ten tournament.

Admission is free, and everyone is invited to come support your Illinois High School field hockey All-Stars.
