Taste Talks, the innovative and experiential food symposium that attracted over 2,000 food enthusiasts last year, returns to the Windy City this fall! From Friday, October 2nd– Sunday, October 4th, locals can experience interactive panel discussions & tastings, underground dinners and a celebrity chef BBQ featuring some of the nation’s top chefs!
Curated by local Chicagoan and James Beard Award-winning chef Paul Kahan, this year he teams up with fellow James Beard Award winner, Author and Michelin star recipient April Bloomfield, chef/owner of some of New York City’s top restaurants including The Spotted Pig. To round out the group of culinary masters, Chef Fergus Henderson & Trevor Gulliver of St. JOHN Bar & Restaurant and numerous “nose to tail” cookbooks in London head to Chicago to celebrate one thing…food.
After wrapping up its third annual Taste Talks Brooklyn festival (September 11-13), Taste Talks Chicago is bringing together some of the world’s top luminaries in food and drink - from writers and critics to chefs, bakers and brew masters - to discuss, analyze, and theorize about the FUTURE OF TASTE. Participants include: Paul Kahan (One Off Hospitality, Chicago), April Bloomfield (The Spotted Pig, NYC), Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver (St. JOHN, London), Abe Conlon (Fat Rice, Chicago), Tony Quartaro (Formentos, Chicago), Matt Danko (Sink I Swim, Chicago), Matthias Merges (A10, Billy Sunday, Yusho, Chicago), Rob Levitt (The Butcher & Larder, Chicago) and Paul McGee (Land and Sea Dept, Chicago).
