3 in 4 Teens Believe E-Cigarettes to Be Safer Than Tobacco
Young people are smoking e-cigs and it's as harmful as cigarettes

A recent study has found 73% of teens report e-cigarettes to be less harmful than cigarettes, but only 20% believe smokeless tobacco to be less harmful than cigarettes. It has only been since August of this year that the FDA began regulating e-cigarette products. The concern is that e-cigarettes are re-normalizing smoking despite the fact this new product delivers just as much and sometimes more nicotine and other toxins in each puff as compared to a traditional cigarette. The toxicity of the newer product is increased by the specific chemical makeup of the different flavorings that smokers are so drawn to and producing a real threat against all the work our nation has done to decrease tobacco usage.
