441 Needy Families Helped By Hagerty's Holiday Drive
Evanston Mayor Steve Hagerty, city staff and volunteers handed out baskets of food and bags of toys Friday at Fleetwood-Jourdain.

EVANSTON, IL - From The City of Evanston: Mayor Hagerty's 2017 Holiday Food and Toy Drive brightened the holiday season for 441 Evanston families in need thanks to generous donations from community members and businesses.
Volunteers and City staff distributed holiday turkeys, customized food baskets and bags of toys at the annual event on Friday, December 15 at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center.
"Thank you to our City staff, volunteers and the hundreds of community members and businesses who generously gave food, toys and financial contributions to make the season brighter for our neighbors in need," said Mayor Hagerty. "The holiday spirit is alive and well in Evanston."
