Alley Near Greenwood/Maple Will Be Paved
Access to this alley will be prohibited beginning on October 5.

The City of Evanston will contract paving for the alley north of Greenwood Street and east of Maple Avenue beginning Monday, October 5 through early November.
Vehicular access to the alley as well as garages and parking areas will be prohibited beginning October 5. All vehicles should be relocated prior to the start of construction. Neighborhood district (2-hour parking) and street cleaning parking restrictions will be waived on the following blocks during the project:

- Maple Avenue – Dempster to Grove Streets
- Elmwood Avenue – Dempster to Grove Streets
- Lake Street – Elmwood to Sherman Avenues
- Greenwood Street – Oak to Sherman Avenues
Emergency vehicle zones and other “No Parking” zones will continue to be enforced. A temporary access drive will be constructed from Lake Street to maintain access to the Police and Fire Parking Lot.
Collection of recycling and trash will occur at the front (street side) of each affected property on the regular collection schedule. Private garbage haulers will be notified to relocate their receptacles prior to construction. Please call 3-1-1 for any missed service.

Funding for this project is from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Funds; there will be no charges to the abutting property owners.
